Scotland is a place of bright green hills and spectacular scenery, agriculture and quality industry. Aberdeen is the petroleum capital of the UK, and is the perfect place to start an adventure, whether you come to go shopping, hiking or enjoy the sunset with a pint of beer.

Did you know Aberdeen has been named the friendliest city in Scotland? If you have a chat with the locals, you will see why.

Activities in Aberdeen

Scotland is of course the home of whisky, which is made and stored in enormous amounts. The tradition started with the monks in the 1100s and is still being held alive.

You may hear the echo of those medieval times when you walk through one of the nearby castles. A couple of miles from Aberdeen, on the edge of a cliff, is Dunnottar Castle. The view is worth a trip in itself, but you should also take some time to explore the fortress.

Golf is very popular in this area. The Aberdeen area boasts over 50 golf courses, and the Royal Aberdeen Golf Club has what is perhaps the most beautiful golf course in the world.
