Fly to Lofoten

The mighty mountains rise out of the ocean and provide shelter for birds and wildlife. A magnificent mountain landscape morphs into white beaches. Lofoten will stimulate all your senses, whether you’re in a sea kayak, on a fishing boat or in a ‘rorbu’ – a local fisherman’s shack.

Lofoten tastes and smells like stockfish. Local eateries offer world-class culinary experiences. Did you know that Lofoten’s dried cod is geographically protected, much like champagne and parma?

Activities in Lofoten

It is up to you to set the pace for your stay in Lofoten, but there are endless opportunities: You can dive among fish and anemones, surf the world’s most exotic waves, or climb a mountain – with or without skis. If you are a comfortable mountaineer, hiking on the mountain Svolværgeita is almost obligatory.

You may be excited to see orcas out in the ocean. On land, you can visit one of the world’s most spectacular golf courses in the midnight sun.

When the spawning cod comes in from the Barents Sea, the fishing season in Lofoten becomes an event you can’t miss! Unless you prefer to sit in peace by a fishing shack, just enjoying life.
