Ticket cancellation and refund rules

Tickets can be cancelled from My trips or from the link in the confirmation email recieved when booking the ticket.

 

In order to cancel the entire booking, navigate to the "cancel" link. If you only want to change parts of the booking, click the "change" link and select the change you want to make.

 

All tickets where Widerøe is a part of the trip are fully refundable within 24 hours of booking confirmation. See table below for complete refund rules. If Widerøe is not a part of the trip, the operating airlines own rules apply.

Note that the 24 hour full refund option requires that the entire booking is cancelled.

*If departure time is less than 24 hours from booking time, the full refund option for Economy tickets is limited to until 2 hours before departure time.

Refund in the event of sickness or death

Sickness

Unexpected illness may occur. In the event of sickness, the general refund rules apply. However Widerøe also offer a Cancellation protection.

 

If you've purchased Cancellation protection, you'll get a full ticket refund if you're unable to travel because you or a close family member falls ill.

Cancellation protection can be added to your booking. The service must be purchased along with the ticket.

Death

If a passenger or an immediate family member of the passenger dies before the trip, tickets can be completely refunded. This is valid on WF documents. Death certificate or a copy of such is required. This is in accordance with PAT rules 9.3.4. 

 

In case of death of the passenger unused tickets are refundable. Accompanying passengers or immediate family can travel as originally or change the trip if they wish. Tickets can be rebooked within the same booking class or to the lowest available booking class (in the same service class). The rebooking date can be no longer than 45days after initial the initial journey.
